Snow Removal Support for People with Disabilities and Mobility Challenges

This year, the City is offering snow removal assistance for residents who have a permanent or temporary disability. To apply to the Assisted Snow Removal Pilot, you will need a form signed by an authorized health care provider that confirms that you cannot perform any activities related to snow removal.

And if you already participate of the Dedicated Accessible Transit Service (DATS) and the Assisted Waste Collection programs, you’ll be able to use a simpler process.

This program is a two-year pilot and it starts this year. Visit the Assisted Snow Removal Pilot Program web page for the application form, program details, and contact information.

As a reminder, low-income seniors can also receive snow removal assistance through the Government of Alberta’s Special Needs Assistance program.
